FIA, ARE YOU OKAY?

The FIA is really that one kid in school who just can’t survive without attention and drama. Let a few days go by without some off-track controversy, and you can bet your bottom dollar that a certain Mohammed Ben Sulayem won’t be able to sleep soundly. The esteemed FIA president wakes up, takes a sip of his morning espresso, and then asks, “So, what should we ban today?”—all in the name of ‘respect,’ of course.
And the latest brainwave? Shutting down team radios in order to discipline drivers and avoid them from swearing. Now, it’s not entirely clear whether this means no more broadcasting of team radios on TV or a complete blackout of driver-pitwall communication. Knowing MBS, it could be either—or both. But one thing is certain: George Russell, as head of the GPDA, and drivers like Max Verstappen won’t take this lying down. These guys wear their emotions on their sleeves, and if team radio broadcasts really do get axed, we can expect Liberty Media to wade into the chaos, citing the massive impact on fan engagement as the commercial rights holder, in charge of making the event a spectacle. MBS VS Liberty? That can be spicy!
We recommend you start hoarding popcorn, buy good caramel, sit back and enjoy!
MOTOGP’S BANGKOK SHOWDOWN!
For the first time in history, MotoGP hosted its official season launch in Bangkok on February 9, 2025. Now, was it perfect? Not quite. Was it a chaotic spectacle full of sideways burnouts, screaming fans, and questionable tire longevity? Absolutely.
The riders kicked things off with a scenic photoshoot at the iconic Marble Temple after rolling in on tuk-tuks. Then, the real action began. They hopped onto their respective constructor’s' flagship road-going superbikes for a rip through Bangkok, from the Ritz-Carlton to One Bangkok, where thousands of fans had gathered. Not gonna lie, the Honda CBRs, the Yamaha R1s and the Ducati Panigales looked charmingly gorgeous!
They probably had one specific instruction, make that ride a spectacle for every fan. So what followed was a lot of burnt rubber, wheelie popping, burnouts, a few burnt clutches maybe and ‘that’ insanely exotic sideways burnout by Marc Marquez! And to top it off, the night wrapped up with a grand takeoff party and dinner, setting the stage for what promises to be one of the most electrifying seasons in MotoGP history.
SEPANG MADNESS AND WHAT TO EXPECT FROM BURIRAM!

The 3-day MotoGP test in Sepang concluded a few days ago. And before the first day was even over, three dramaticl crashes ruled out Raul Fernandez, Fabio Di Giannantonio, and reigning world champion Jorge Martin. Not exactly the start they were hoping for.
Beyond the wreckage, the test itself threw up some surprises. The Italian manufacturers—usually dominant—left Sepang with more questions than answers, while the Japanese teams, particularly Yamaha, found reasons to smile (for the first time in years). Aprilia was MIA for most of the test, KTM seemed lost despite their star-studded lineup and their ‘minor’ debt issue, and Ducati is facing a strange dilemma: how do you improve on a bike that already won everything last season?
For Ducati, the real problem is deciding between their GP24 and GP25 specs before the season and especially before the engine freeze kicks in at the Thai GP for the 3 European non-concession constructors. Pecco Bagnaia insists the GP25 is marginally better, but the satellite Ducatis looked sharper and better settled—especially Alex Marquez, while Marc Marquez looked relatively more comfortable on his factory ride than Pecco. Meanwhile, Yamaha’s long-overdue shift to a V4 engine and their dedication behind the scenes seems to be paying off, with Fabio Quartararo showing signs of a much-needed revival. Fabio on a fast Yamaha can be a pain for every rider who’s dreaming of a championship this season. Even Honda, quietly working behind the scenes, made steady gains. Although not enough to trouble the top scorers, Honda will be keen to carry this momentum into Buriram and set the tone for their return to glory!
Buriram will be the ultimate test—can Yamaha and Honda build momentum, or will Ducati and KTM find their missing puzzle pieces? We can’t wait for things to get started.
F1 TEAM LAUNCHES ARE ALMOST HERE!
With MotoGP’s launch party done and dusted, F1 is next. In a week’s time, the first-ever F1 season launch at the O2 Arena in London will take place. Now, before you get too excited—no, you won’t see the actual 2025 cars. Just some fancy liveries, a lot of well-rehearsed marketing speak, and probably a few dramatic teaser videos, but a whole lot of entertaining content for that should keep you happy until the new DTS season is out.
The full car reveals will happen at the usual team launches, kicking off on February 14 with Williams. With expectations sky-high for 2025, fans are ready to see if anyone can finally take the fight to Max Verstappen and finally, not just threate but snatch away his crown. Who are you putting your money on this season?
FORMULA E JEDDAH E-PRIX - TIME TO WIN BIG!

Two races down, and Formula E is heading to Jeddah for an electrifying double-header. Jaguar, Porsche, Andretti, and Nissan are locked in a fierce fight with no clear frontrunner—exactly the kind of chaos we love.
What makes this race extra spicy? The traditional F1’s Jeddah Corniche Circuit will feature a new, shorter layout, plus witness the debut of the ‘Pit Boost’—Formula E’s latest experiment to shake things up. Combine that with the ever-powerful 4WD attack mode, and literally anyone could take the win.
And guess what? You can get in on the action too. Join the Formula E fantasy contest on Grid Master for the Jeddah E-Prix and win big. Predict the chaos, pick the right drivers, and you could walk away with some good old cash! (and bragging rights)
