2024 WRAPPED - RACING VERSION!
Max Verstappen’s winless drought? 4 teams clinching a 1-2? RedBull not the fastest car? 7 different race winners??? These notions would be ridiculed as utter nonsense at the start of the season and fairly so because not one anticipated this wonderful season that was in-store for us! Come with Grid Master on one final ride of the season where we deep dive in some amazing and truly magical highlights that truly made this season a spectacularly special one!
AH, HERE WE GO AGAIN!

The 2024 racing season kicked off where it left off—in Red Bull’s domain. Early races suggested another “predictable” year, with Red Bull drivers locking out the top two spots. Surprisingly, Sergio Pérez challenged Max Verstappen for pole, sparking rumours of a title fight. (Alas, neither we nor Pérez could have foreseen what was in store). However, Verstappen’s dominant Bahrain victory, with a 20+ second lead, signalled another season of Red Bull supremacy and a likely runaway championship for Max (and bankruptcy for everyone in this business).
TEASER TIME!

At the time, its significance was unclear, but in hindsight, this moment set the tone for an unforgettable season. Carlos Sainz staged a remarkable comeback after missing the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix due to illness. What started as a lackluster Friday transformed into a fairytale weekend, as Sainz capitalized on Verstappen’s unexpected retirement to secure a stunning victory. Initially dismissed as a fluke, aided by Red Bull’s rare reliability woes, this race marked the start of an unexpected trend: a streak of winners not named Max Verstappen.
SEASON TURNS AROUND!

Miami marked McLaren's rise as the fastest car on the grid—a turning point they never looked back from. (and to be honest, not what they looked forward to either in this part of season). Their bold pre-season predictions came true as Lando Norris claimed his first win, though critics called it a lucky break aided by a safety car (official end of Lando No-Wins). Despite the skepticism, the race confirmed McLaren’s upward trajectory and cemented their status as the team to beat for the rest of the season.
MEMORABLE WINS!

The Miami GP not only marked McLaren's resurgence but also signalled the start of Red Bull's decline from their long-held dominance. With the top four teams separated by just two-tenths of a second, the stage was set for legendary moments. Charles Leclerc finally conquered Monaco, while Lewis Hamilton ended his winless streak at Silverstone—the perfect venue for such a triumph. These victories provided drivers and fans with relief and emotional catharsis (end of painful cries of Leclerc, or maybe not), creating stories that will be cherished for years.
GLOVES ARE OFF!

RedBull found themselves going down a spiral of issues which threw Max Verstappen in the clutch of fast moving McLarens and it was no other than Lando Norris throwing his hat in the ring to not make it a cake walk for Max Verstappen. This year soon changed into a fierce Max vs Lando (okay, arguably) year where the two rather good friends off the track found themselves battling every other weekend resulting in some heated moments over the course of the season.
DAWN OF ERA OF 90s!

Modern racing had been dominated by Mercedes and Red Bull, but this year saw the revival of two legendary titans battling for the Constructors’ championship. Ferrari fell a step behind due to mid-season misdirection (I mean…), while McLaren seemed unstoppable on almost every track they touched. Red Bull’s decline opened the door for a fierce two-team fight, but in the end, the deserving McLaren claimed the trophy, powered by their two outstanding drivers.
DRIVER OF THE GENERATION?

Max Verstappen faces a crossroads this year: while Red Bull's struggles made it a tough season, he emerged as the undisputed GOAT and a proven champion (However he will still define it by his sim racing performance). Week after week, he outperformed the car, delivering podiums and qualifying results it didn’t deserve. His drive of a lifetime in Brazil and his decisive victory in Qatar further cemented his dominance. Max has proven he’s the driver to beat for years to come.
COOLDOWN ROOM DRAMA!

A very big part of 2024 season will be the amazing scenes from the cooldown room that sprung past all the unexpected moments we anticipated. So many new winners and varied spectrum of energies we felt through the course of entire season served as a brilliant post race dessert for us. From the most unexpected and muttering cooldown room of Brazil to the awkward ones of Spa (what seemed to last for years), we had it all. Thank you to the drivers to provide us with such drama on and off track!
